Ebony JJ Curry is a Detroit native and stands on the premise that ambition, dedication and most importantly, faith, are all necessities to achieve continual success in life.

Ebony holds a master’s degree in journalism concentrating in video and broadcast from Northwestern University Medill School of Journalism along with a bachelor's in communications media from Alabama A&M University.

She has several years’ experience in community relations, sufficient knowledge and skill with media journalism along with tremendous skill in communications. Ebony's education and experience, together with her personal calling to serve, communicate and relate, makes her an ideal candidate for professional growth and an immeasurable asset to any company/organization.
In her current role as a reporter/MMJ for ABC12-WJRT news covering mid-Michigan, she has covered various topics such as: Michigan's right-to-work repeal, the Michigan State University mass shooting, Michigan's third-grade reading law repeal, Michigan's 1931 abortion ban, several feature/human interest pieces, and community impact stories throughout the viewing area.
 As she excelled in her role as Press Assistant for the Executive Office of Governor Gretchen Whitmer and as the Director of Communications for District 2 Michigan State Senator Adam Hollier, Ebony JJ is well verse in all roles of communication with exceptional leadership skills. Her desire for continued growth and craft perfection shines through her experience as a Community Organizer for the political organization, For Our Future MI, and as a Digital Resident for the House Democratic Caucus, Chairman Hakeem Jeffries.
